Feasibility studies begin for Mezzarion's first lithium processing plants

Updated: Aug 13, 2024

Work has begun to ascertain locations for Mezzarion's pilot lithium processing plants in Zimbabwe.

Previously, we had worked with existing smelting capacity to meet our customer needs, however short to medium term plans have shown a need to commence the establishment of our very first plants. Currently our focus is on assessing the most viable location based on Artisanal, small and medium (ASM) activities in our target area's.

Lithium mining activities in Zimbabwe have seen a decline, due to the depressed market price. despite this, we strongly feel this price dip is temporary and a rebound in the next 24 months is imminent. Our hope is to have at least one of our planned plants, fully licensed and operational.

Lithium mining in Zimbabwe, is predominantly shallow, relatively easy to mine due to gentle gradients, has more frequently occurring higher grade ore ranging from 1% to 4% in certain area's we have discovered, and our exploration activities have shown these to be relatively large ore bodies. Given these factors, input material is in abundance and accessible.

Our vision is to focus on construction of concentration plants in strategically cost effective locations to address our current and future customer needs.

Through our partners and advisors, we are confident we will achieve our goals within the next 24 months.
