(Reuters) – U.S. authorities selections are hurting the North American market disproportionately, client items and adhesive maker Henkel mentioned on Tuesday, the newest company to warn about uncertainty attributable to President Donald Trump’s commerce policies.
“For sure what is happening in the U.S. in terms of decisions, that’s impacting especially the North American market overproportionally and is also impacting us,” Carsten Knobel, chief govt of the Persil detergent and Loctite glue maker, mentioned in a call with buyers.

U.S. client and business confidence has weakened over tariffs imposed by Trump and threats of extra levies, and growing issues about larger costs.
Henkel earlier on Tuesday gave a comfortable steering for 2025 gross sales growth, projecting a slower begin to the 12 months resulting from a robust industrial setting and muted client sentiment particularly in North America.
